Sullia: A complaint has been registered with Bellare Police Station against Panja sub-zonal forest officer for allegedly making offensive remarks about women from a particular community.

Reportedly an audio conversation of Sanjeev Poojary Kaniyoor making offensive comments about women from a specific community during a phone conversation with another individual has gone viral. The audio has sparked widespread outrage.

Following this the Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Puttur District filed a complaint at Bellare Police Station demanding immediate suspension of the officer.

It is gathered that protests are being planned against the officer.

Notably, this is not the first time that the officer has faced such accusations. Earlier, a complaint was filed against him for allegedly making derogatory social media posts related to bhajan. A formal complaint had been submitted to the department at that time as well.
