Kota: A case has been registered regarding the creation of fake documents to avoid paying tolls at the Sastana toll booth.

Local residents from Karikal Katte to Mabukala are exempted from paying tolls at the Sastana Toll Plaza. However, on October 15, when the RC (Registration Certificate) of a Baleno car was scanned, it was found that the address on the RC mentioned “Mynadi Ahmed Saheb, Padukare, Kota.” But a closer inspection, showed signs that the RC may have been edited.

Further investigation revealed that the actual address of the vehicle owner is from Kalavara village in Kundapur taluk. This raised suspicions, and a check at the Hejamadi Toll Plaza also confirmed that the accused had used a local address to gain toll exemption.

The accused reportedly altered the address on the RC, falsely showing it as their own, and created a fake RC to deceive the toll authorities into granting the exemption.

A case has been registered at the Kota police station regarding this matter.

Hundreds of Fake IDs Suspected

It is suspected that hundreds of vehicle owners have created fake IDs to obtain toll exemptions. Toll authorities have expressed concerns over this and stated that these fake IDs will now be reviewed in stages. Yogeesh Nayari, the Public Relations Officer representing the toll authority, said that legal action will be taken against those involved in such fraudulent activities in the future.
