Sullia: A schoolgirl sustained injuries to her leg following a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle near Jyoti Circle in Sullia on Tuesday evening.

The incident escalated when the injured girl’s father confronted the auto driver, leading to a physical altercation.

The motorcycle rider, a resident of Peraje, was bringing his daughter home from a private school when the auto-rickshaw rammed their vehicle at the junction near Jyoti Circle. The collision caused the rickshaw to hit the girl’s leg.

Following the incident, a heated argument broke out between the girl’s father and the auto driver, which turned into a brawl. The auto driver sustained injuries to his face and was later admitted to a government hospital. The injured schoolgirl too was admitted to a private hospital in Sullia for treatment.

A complaint has been filed against the motorcycle rider at the Sullia police station.
