Udupi: Yoga enthusiasts from the coastal region have a rare opportunity to participate in a yoga camp conducted by Baba Ramdev himself. The founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, will lead the camp during the 51st All India Oriental Studies Conference from October 24 to 26.
The yoga camp will take place every morning from 5:30 to 7:30 AM at the Rajangana of Sri Krishna Matha. Baba Ramdev will guide participants through yoga and pranayama and provide various health tips to promote overall well-being.
The camp is being organized in collaboration with Sri Krishna Matha and Sri Paryaya Puttige Matha, with support from the Central Sanskrit University and Bharatiya Vidvat Parishad.
Special Focus on Yogic Jogging
Patanjali State In-charge Bhavarlal Arya stated that Acharya Balkrishna, the General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, will also be present at the camp alongside Baba Ramdev. The camp will feature a “Yoga Science and Pranayama Meditation Camp” where participants will practice simple yoga postures, yogic jogging, Surya Namaskar, and asanas tailored to specific health conditions.
Integrated Therapy
The camp will also provide insights into integrated therapy, which combines ancient Indian healing practices such as Yoga, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Acupressure, Acupuncture, and Panchakarma treatments. Participants will learn how these therapies can be incorporated into their daily lives to maintain good health and prevent diseases.
Those who follow the recommended diet and lifestyle changes can avoid both common and serious illnesses, leading a healthier life through yoga. Yoga is not just a therapy for practitioners but a way of life for all.
Free Admission and Participation
The district Patanjali Yoga Committee, which operates 31 yoga centers across Udupi, encourages participants to continue practicing yoga at these centers after the camp. Entry to the camp is free, and participants are advised to bring their own mats for yoga practice. Baba Ramdev will conduct the two-hour sessions from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM daily, open to all without any fees.
