Mangaluru: Counting of votes for legislative council by-election begins

The counting of votes for the Legislative Council by-election from the Dakshina Kannada Local Authority constituency began at 8 am on Thursday (October 24) at St. Aloysius Pre-University College in Mangaluru.
In the election held on October 21, a total of 5,906 voters cast their ballots across 392 polling stations.
The counting process has already begun, with the first phase involving the counting and mixing of all votes. In the second phase, the authenticity of the ballot papers will be verified, followed by the counting of first-priority votes. The candidate who secures the designated quota in the first priority will be declared elected.
