Udupi District Deputy Commissioner Dr. K. Vidyakumari has instructed the city commissioner to cancel the licenses of two bars and restaurants in Manipal that were found operating in violation of local regulations.

The direction mentions a bar on Ambagilu Road and a pub on Parkala Road, both of which were allegedly breaching norms by remaining open late into the night. In addition to extended hours, these establishments were reportedly hosting unauthorized entertainment events such as parties, fashion shows, and dance events.

Police have previously conducted raids at these venues, registering cases for their non-compliance.
