Former Udyavara GP President passes away at 75

Katapadi: Sarala S, former president of the Udyavara Gram Panchayat, passed away on Saturday, October 26 at her residence owing to ill health. She was 75.

Sarala’s passing on her 75th birthday has cast a shadow of grief over her family. She is survived by two sons.

A dedicated Congress party worker, Sarala served as the Udyavara Gram Panchayat president from 1995 to 1998. She was also a former member of the Karnataka Fisheries Corporation and an active social worker who believed in fostering social unity.

Former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, BJP Kapu Mandal President Jitendra Shetty, District Congress President Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, and other dignitaries paid their respects and expressed condolences.
