Mangaluru: Car driver assaulted with iron punch, pepper-sprayed after minor accident

Mangaluru: In a case of road rage, a bike rider reportedly assaulted a car driver with a metal punch and pepper spray following a minor collision.

The incident occurred at Kadri Shivabagh near a petrol bunk on Monday morning around 10:30 to 10:45 AM.

According to eyewitnesses, after a minor accident between a bike and an Omni car, the enraged biker attacked the car driver with a metal punch to the face and pepper sprayed into his eyes.

Local residents intervened and called the police, who arrived on the scene and detained the biker.

Authorities found a weapon on him, leading to suspicions that he may have been planning other criminal activities. An official complaint has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
