Udupi: Deepavali special train service announced

Udupi: In light of the Deepavali festival, Konkan Railway has announced special train services to facilitate passenger travel between Karwar and Bengaluru.

On November 3, a special train (01686) will depart from Karwar at 12:00 noon, reaching Bengaluru the following morning at 4:00 am. The return journey (01685) will leave Bengaluru’s Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal at 6:00 am on November 4 and will travel via Hubballi and Dharwad to Madgaon.

The special train will halt at several stations en route, including Chikkabanavara, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabaka Puttur, Bantwal, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Mookambika Road (Baindur), Bhatkal, Murudeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, and Ankola.

This is expected to provide relief to travelers by addressing the increased demand during the festive season.
