Ballari: Following the grant of interim medical bail to actor Darshan on Wednesday, October 30, fans from various places have flocked to the Ballari Central Jail, prompting police to tighten security around the premises. Thousands of fans are heading toward the jail, leading authorities to take precautionary measures.
Initially, Darshan reportedly had difficulty believing that bail had been granted. After being informed by officials, he expressed relief.
According to Jail Superintendent Latha, Darshan could be released if the bail order reaches the jail authorities via email or in person by 6:30 p.m. Otherwise, his release may be delayed until Thursday morning.
Vijayalakshmi visits jail
Shortly after the bail approval, Darshan’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, visited the jail. She had arrived in the city earlier in the day and was staying at a private hotel. Actor Dhanveer and other family members accompanied her during the visit.
Meanwhile, police faced challenges in controlling the crowd of enthusiastic fans around the jail. Authorities had to disperse the crowd with baton charges and have installed barricades to manage the gathering.
Following Darshan’s bail announcement, fellow actors and industry colleagues have expressed their happiness at the news.
