Udupi District Court has extended the judicial custody of ten Bangladeshi illegal immigrants by another 14 days until November 15.

The extension order was issued on Wednesday by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Udupi.

The detained migrants were presented via video conference from the Hiriyadka District Jail to the Principal Second Civil Judge and CJM Court. Judge Yogesh ruled on the custody extension after the defense counsel, Asadulla Katapadi, requested bail on behalf of the accused. The court scheduled the final decision on the bail plea for November 5, allowing time for arguments from both sides.
