Ullal: Police seize 8 kg marijuana, arrest two

In a successful operation led by the Anti-Drug Team under Mangaluru City South Subdivision, police apprehended two individuals for allegedly selling marijuana in a rental house in Kinya Rehmat Nagar, Kajje Bakimaru, within Ullal Police Station limits.

The police seized 8 kg of marijuana valued at Rs 2,04,000.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Nazir Hussain (50), a resident of Madur, and Afsat (37) from Rehmat Nagar, Kinya. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the location, seizing the marijuana along with a car used in the sale, two mobile phones, and other items valued at a total of Rs 5,14,810.

Both accused have been charged under case number 195/2024, registered under sections of the NDPS Act, 1985, and BNS Act.
