Katapady: A tourist vehicle en route to a pilgrimage site collided with a stationary lorry, injuring multiple passengers, including women. The incident occurred early on Sunday morning, November 3, near the Udyavara petrol bunk on National Highway 66.
The tourist vehicle, reportedly heading towards Kollur from another state, crashed into a lorry parked along the roadside. Several passengers sustained severe injuries in the incident.
With assistance from locals, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The tourist vehicle was also badly damaged in the collision.
Kaup police were at the scene and are investigating.
