Hassan: Policeman brutally killed near Dudda village; family dispute suspected

A police constable was brutally murdered near Dudda village in Hassan taluk on Monday night when he was returning home after distributing wedding invitations.
The victim, B.V. Harish (32) from Bageshapura in Arasikere taluk, served in the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force in Bengaluru and was set to marry on November 11.
The attack occurred on Monday night as Harish was returning home. Assailants reportedly threw chili powder in his eyes and attacked him with sharp weapons before fleeing.
It is suspected that an alleged extramarital affair is the reason behind the murder. Police are investigating further.
