Former Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Ajit Kumar passes away

Udupi: Former Mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation Ajit Kumar (73), a resident of Yeyyadi in Mangaluru, passed away on November 4 at a private hospital in Manipal.

A civil engineer by profession, Ajit Kumar served as the Mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation during the 1987-88 term.

He is survived by his son Manas Kumar, who serves as the Civil Engineering Head at Manipal Energy Infratech Ltd., and a daughter.
