Karkala: The Karkala court has extended the judicial custody of Prathima and her partner, Dileep Hegde, by 14 days in connection with the murder of Balakrishna Poojary of Ajekar.

Police initially presented Prathima in court on October 25, and she was placed in judicial custody until November 7. Dileep Hegde, who was taken into police custody for three days, was brought before the court on October 28 and was also placed in judicial custody.

With their previous custody term ending, both accused were presented before the Karkala court on Friday. The court has now ordered an additional 14-day extension of judicial custody for both.
