Udupi: Expressing concerns over the recent issues surrounding Waqf properties, Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha seer Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji has urged the government to ensure a timely resolution that protects the interests of all stakeholders, including farmers and religious institutions.
In a video statement, the seer expressed discontent over allegations of Waqf encroachments on lands belonging to temples, religious institutions, and farmers. He called for urgent action from the government to prevent injustices resulting from the alleged weaknesses in Waqf-related legislation, which, according to him, has adversely affected Hindu religious entities and farmers. He emphasized that delivering justice to those affected should be the government’s priority.
The seer strongly urged the government to find a fair and swift solution to address the concerns of the affected communities.
