Kasturba Hospital, a critical healthcare facility in the region, is currently facing an acute shortage of blood, posing a serious risk to emergency medical procedures. The shortage of blood may result in postponing of emergency surgeries in the event of certain treatment of diseases and accidents cases.

Dr. Avinash Shetty, the Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, has issued an urgent appeal to the community to come forward and donate blood. “The need for blood is critical at this time.

We request individuals to help us in this time of need by donating blood at the Blood Center of Kasturba Hospital. If there are more than 10 donors, we will arrange vehicle for pick-up and drop”.
