Parkala: Granite-laden truck reverses into garage, damages parked bikes

Team Udayavani, Nov 9, 2024, 5:00 PM IST

A granite-laden truck lost control and rolled backward into a garage in Kelaparkala, damaging several parked motorcycles.

The accident occurred on the old tar road when the truck travelling from Bengaluru toward Herga in Parkala failed to ascend an incline and rolled back.

The garage, owned by Ganapati Nayak, had four to five bikes parked that were extensively damaged in the collision. Fortunately, those inside the garage managed to escape unharmed.

Residents claim that due to incomplete highway construction and the uneven terrain of potholes and slopes, large vehicles have faced frequent accidents in this area.
