Belagavi: Miscreants attempted to set fire to the Gram Panchayat office in Kalkamba village of Belagavi taluk by hurling a petrol bomb at the building on Friday night (Nov 8),

Preliminary investigations suggest that a dispute between two groups may have led to this act of vandalism against the Gram Panchayat office.

Several pieces of office furniture were damaged in the incident.

Notably, the miscreants dismantled the CCTV camera before the attack. The attackers reportedly filled a beer bottle with petrol, lit it, and threw it through the office window. Although no official documents were damaged, tables and chairs suffered damage.

Local police from Marihal station visited the site and conducted a thorough inspection. Further investigation is underway.
