Bengaluru: A consumer court has fined a clinic Rs 4 lakh for providing a substandard wig after charging Rs 3 lakh for a premium-quality original hair wig.
A 36-year-old resident of Bengaluru had visited a hair care clinic in November 2021, requesting a premium-quality hair wig suited to his specifications. The clinic assured him of a high-quality wig at a cost of Rs 3 lakh, which he paid.
However, he was later provided with a regular-grade wig instead of the promised premium one.
Frustrated, the customer filed a complaint with the 1st Additional Consumer Court in Bengaluru. After reviewing the case, the court ruled in his favor, ordering the clinic to pay Rs 4 lakh in compensation.
