Udupi: Kanchi Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji to visit Sri Krishna Matha on Nov 20

Udupi: Sri Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham will visit Sri Krishna Matha on November 20 for the grand inauguration of the Geetotsava, an event being organized as part of the ambitious Koti Gita Lekhana yajna, a project initiated by Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, the pontiff of the Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha.

Sri Swamiji, who is currently at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, was extended an invitation by Sri Puthige Matha’s international secretary V| Prasannacharya, along with other officials, as per the wishes of Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji. Accepting the invitation, Kanchi Swamiji agreed to visit Sri Krishna Matha on November 20.

In a significant past visit, the former pontiff of Kanchi Peetham, Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji, had visited Udupi for the inauguration of the Navaratna Chariot during the third Paryaya tenure of Puthige Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji.
