Bomb threat email sparks panic at Ibis hotel in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: An anonymous bomb threat email was received at Ibis Hotel in Sampangiram Nagar on Monday, causing a brief period of panic.
The threat was sent via email from an unknown address on Monday evening. The email stated that a bomb had been planted on the hotel premises and would explode within a few hours.
The hotel staff immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot with the bomb squad and a canine unit. Both guests and hotel staff were safely evacuated and a thorough inspection was conducted.
No explosives or suspicious items were found during the search. Officials later concluded it was a hoax bomb threat.
The sender’s email address was vague, adding to the difficulty of identifying the source.
A case was registered at Sampangiram Nagar Police Station. Authorities stated that they would be working with cybercrime experts to investigate the origin of the email and identify the person responsible.
