Vitla: Car transporting schoolchildren overturns after brake failure; students injured

A car transporting schoolchildren overturned after a brake failure at Muchira Padavu in Peruvai village on Wednesday, November 13.

The car was completely crushed in the accident and the driver, identified as Muliya Ramanna, sustained a head injury. Several children were injured as well. The injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment.

The accident when the driver was en route to drop off children from Mithamoole in Peruvai to board a school bus in Vitla.
