Mangaluru: The Assistant Commissioner’s Court in Mangaluru has dismissed a petition filed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) concerning the disputed land of the Malali mosque.
The petition was filed after suspicions arose regarding the mosque’s land, following controversies surrounding Waqf properties across the state. Previously, the RTC document for the land listed it as revenue land in Column 9. The VHP petitioned to prevent any changes to historical records until the pending civil case related to the mosque was resolved.
‘Will approach High Court’
Sharan Pumpwell, the Regional Joint Secretary of VHP, stated that the Assistant Commissioner had dismissed their petition. As a result, they have now approached the High Court for further recourse.
The dispute over the mosque’s land remains a contentious issue, with legal proceedings underway to determine its outcome.
