Hosanagar: A school bus carrying students on an educational tour met with an accident near Narthige, close to Mundalli, on Monday, November 18, leaving 29 people injured.

The private school bus, carrying students from Alandur in Chamarajanagar, veered out of control and crashed into a tree. The collision caused significant damage to the front portion of the bus.

The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in two ambulances. Those with severe injuries were later transferred to Hosanagar Taluk Hospital and Shivamogga’s McGann Hospital for advanced treatment.

Local residents rushed to the scene upon learning of the accident and assisted the police in transporting the injured to the hospital. However, the absence of doctors at the government hospital sparked outrage among the locals. A case has been registered at the local police station.
