Thirthahalli: Bank Manager missing; suspected to have jumped into Tunga River

A pair of footwear and a mobile phone were found abandoned on the Tunga riverbank near Aralasuruli village leading to suspicions that a person attempted suicide by jumping into the river.
Preliminary reports suggest the individual is the manager of Union Bank in Aralasuruli. Fire and rescue personnel are conducting an intensive search operation in the area.
Local sources indicate the manager was alone at the time of the incident. The person’s relatives, reportedly based in Chennai, have been informed.
Investigation is underway to determine whether the individual accidentally slipped into the river or intentionally jumped.
