A protest broke out in front of the Kadaba Tahsildar’s office on Wednesday, November 20, condemning the alleged misconduct of officials in demolishing the home of an elderly couple in Kapina Bagilu, under the jurisdiction of Kaukraadi Gram Panchayat.

The demonstration was led by social activist and Neeti Team state president Jayant T., advocate B.M. Bhat, and K.R.S. party leader Venugopal. A large crowd gathered by the roadside near the Tahsildar’s office, including the elderly couple who lost their home. They arrived with their salvaged belongings and joined the protest under the scorching sun, supported by several sympathizers.

The elderly couple was seen crying out in despair, expressing their agony with the husband reportedly exclaiming, “I no longer want to live.” Despite their distress, officials appeared indifferent to their plight.

Tensions escalated when authorities declared that the protest lacked prior permission. The protestors responded with anger, crowding near the roadside.

Kadaba Station Sub-Inspector Abhinandan and officers from neighboring police stations were deployed to maintain order. Activists, including Hakeem Kokkada, Eshwari, and Simi Undila, also participated in the protest, expressing solidarity with the elderly couple’s struggle.
