Mangaluru: Lokayukta raids Mines and Geology Department official’s residence and office

Mangaluru: In a major operation early Thursday, November 21 morning , Lokayukta officials conducted simultaneous raids at the residence and office of a Mines and Geology Department official, Krishna Veni, in Mangaluru.

A team led by Lokayukta SP Nataraj carried out the raids at Krishna Veni’s residence in Valencia and her office in Mallikatte. The operation is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities.

Krishna Veni, who was transferred to Mangaluru two months ago, resides in Fred Rose Enclave Apartments in Valencia. Officials are currently scrutinizing documents seized during the raid.

The Lokayukta teams from Mangaluru and Chikkaballapura arrived in three vehicles to conduct the operation.
