Mangaluru: Mangaluru International Airport bid an emotional goodbye to Jack, a 12-year-old Labrador who served with distinction as part of the canine squad of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Jack, who was just three days shy of his 13th birthday, passed away due to age-related ailments, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty and dedication.
Jack joined the CISF’s K9 squad at Mangaluru International Airport over a decade ago, quickly becoming an invaluable member of the security team. Known for his sharp instincts and tireless work ethic, Jack played a key role in ensuring the airport’s safety. His unwavering service made him a beloved figure among CISF personnel and airport staff alike.
In a heartfelt farewell, the CISF team, led by Deputy Commandant Mr. S. M. Meitei, honored Jack’s service with a fitting tribute. The ceremony highlighted the special bond between the canine squad and the security team, showcasing Jack’s years of dedication to duty.
The CISF and Mangaluru International Airport extended their deepest condolences to those who cared for Jack during his years of service and after his retirement. They also expressed gratitude for his unparalleled contributions to the security of the airport.
