Udupi: Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, a senior leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), visited the Sri Krishna Matha on Friday. He offered prayers and received blessings from Paryaya Sri Putthige Matha pontiff Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji.

During the visit, Joshi deliberated on pressing national issues, including the alarming incidents across the country, the problem of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators, peace and security in Manipur, concerns surrounding Waqf Board activities, and the persistent threat of terrorism in Kashmir.

Bhaiyyaji Joshi also discussed the RSS’s stance on these matters, its centenary celebrations, and the pivotal role that saints, seers, and pontiffs must play in safeguarding Sanatana Dharma and the nation’s welfare in the days ahead.

He praised the initiatives led by Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji, particularly the Koti Geeta Lekhana Yajna (writing of one crore verses of the Bhagavad Gita), which aims to instill noble values in society.

As a gesture of respect, Swamiji honored Bhaiyyaji Joshi with the Koti Geeta Lekhana Yajna Diksha and bestowed blessings upon him. Senior leaders Sitaram Kedilaya, Sudhir, Gurunath, Sri Matha’s Diwan Nagarajacharya, and International Secretary Prasannacharya were present during the event.
