Moodbidri: Former physical education director P. Nemiraj Hegde passes away

Moodbidri: P. Nemiraj Hegde, former Physical Education Director of Sri Mahaveera College, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, at the age of 84.
Hailing from Padangadi, Hegde pursued his PU education at St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru, followed by a BSc at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala, and a B.P.Ed. in Mysuru. He served at Sri Mahaveera College, Moodbidri, as a Physical Education Director and retired from the same institution after an illustrious career.
A dedicated NCC cadet during his college years, Hegde represented the nation at several camps and groomed numerous successful sportspersons throughout his tenure.
He is survived by two daughters, including alumna association vice president Chetana Prashanth.

College Administrative Board President and former minister K. Abhayachandra Jain, Degree College Principal Dr. Radhakrishna, PU College Principal M. Ramesh Bhat, Alumni Association President B. Nagaraj, Alva’s Education Foundation President Dr. M. Mohan Alva, and M. Bahubali Prasad expressed their condolences on his demise.
