Chintamani: A couple lost their lives in a tragic road accident when their bike came under a KSRTC bus in Shidlaghatta Taluk on Wednesday, November 27.

The deceased have been identified as Venkatesh and Saraswathamma, residents of Bommasandra.

The accident took place near Adarsha Talkies in Chintamani town when the couple was on their way to Narayanahalli village. The impact of the collision was severe, with Venkatesh’s head being completely severed from his body.

Preliminary investigations suggest that overspeeding by the KSRTC bus driver caused the accident.

Chintamani Town Police visited the scene and are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
