Mangaluru: Alva’s Education Foundation in Moodbidri is adding a unique dimension to its cultural fest Alva’s Virasat-2024 with a new initiative titled “Alva’s Virasat Shastriya Yuva Sampada”. This program aims to make the festival more inclusive and community-centric.

The event will take place from December 10 to 15, with a special 5-day camp running daily from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding the final day of the festival.

Students from Class 6 to postgraduation levels, with at least two years of experience in any of the classical art forms, including Hindustani and Carnatic music, classical dance, percussion, and Yakshagana, are eligible to participate.

The camp offers free training, along with complimentary food, snacks, and accommodation. Daily activities will include lectures by renowned artists, individual and group performances in classical music and dance, and other forms of art.

Participants will also have the chance to be part of the grand cultural extravaganza of Alva’s Virasat-2024.

Interested candidates must register by December 9, as slots are limited and will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Dr. M. Mohan Alva, president of the foundation, shared this announcement in a press release.
