M’luru: K’taka Upa Lokayukta Visits Pachchanady Waste Management Plant and Student Hostel

Mangaluru: Karnataka Upa Lokayukta Justice B. Veerappa, who is on a three-day visit to Mangaluru, inspected the Pachchanady waste management plant on Sunday morning to review its operations.
Justice Veerappa examined the waste disposal process and directed officials to adopt more scientific methods to ensure effective waste management. He also stressed the importance of addressing the concerns of residents in nearby villages.
Later, Justice Veerappa visited the pre-matric and post-matric student hostels named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Kudmul Ranga Rao near PVS in Mangaluru. He interacted with the students and inspected the hostel facilities, including dormitories, the kitchen, and storage rooms. He also checked the quality of food grains, vegetables, and pulses used for students’ meals.
The inspection was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Santosh Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer Harshavardhan, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Anand C.L., Lokayukta SP Nataraj M.A., and DySP Dr. Gana P. Kumar.
