Harassment case: Police issue notice to Gurappa Naidu to appear for questioning

Bengaluru: The V.V. Pura police have issued a notice to expelled Congress leader Gurappa Naidu to appear for questioning related to a sexual harassment case.
The victim’s statement has been recorded in the case. Now, the police said, the accused has been given a notice asking him to appear for questioning by Tuesday.
At the victim’s request, the case of sexual harassment filed against Naidu at the Channammanakere Achukattu police station, where the influential political leader lives, has been transferred to VV Pura police station.
Politically influential Gurappa Naidu lives in the Channammanakere Achukattu police station limits, where the case was filed. The victim had requested the DCP of South Division to transfer the case to another police station as there is a possibility of influencing the investigation.
On the victim’s request, the case has been transferred to V.V. Pura police station.
The Congress party in Karnataka, on Saturday, expelled Gurappa Naidu following the case being registered.
