A senior citizen sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred on the main road in Kadiyali on Thursday, December 5 evening.
The incident took place when a Swift car, bearing Mangaluru registration, was heading from Manipal towards Udupi. The driver lost control of the car while speeding, and a sudden brake caused the vehicle to veer off the road and flip over.
The car collided with an elderly person who was standing next to their scooter on the roadside, as well as another car.
The injured senior citizen was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited.
