Udupi: Proposal for new train service from Chikkamagaluru to Tirupati via Bengaluru

Udupi: Union Minister of State for Railways, V Somanna, has directed railway officials to gather detailed information regarding the introduction of a new train service from Chikkamagaluru to Tirupati via Bengaluru.
Acknowledging the high demand for a train service along this route, MP Kota Srinivas Poojary submitted a formal request to the Union Minister during a meeting in New Delhi. He urged the railway authorities to expedite the process for introducing the new train at the earliest.
Following the request, Minister Somanna instructed the concerned officials to prepare a comprehensive report and submit a proposal for the approval of the new railway service.
Christmas special train for Velankanni pilgrims
Additionally, in response to a request from the Christian community, the minister assured arrangements for a Christmas special train to Velankanni. This initiative aims to provide seamless travel for pilgrims during the festive season.
The proposed services are expected to enhance connectivity and meet the growing travel demands of the region.
