Belthangady: Bike rider dies after being hit by tourist bus

Belthangady: A motorcyclist died in an accident when his bike collided with a private tourist bus near Kokkada’s Kapinabagilu area on the Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya road on December 15 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Madhav Acharya (46), a resident of Moodubailu. The private bus was carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, returning from Dharmasthala to Subrahmanya. The collision occurred near the Saptagiri Complex at Kapinabagilu while Madhav was on his way home from Kokkada.
Madhav suffered critical head injuries due to the impact and was rushed to Puttur Government Hospital by ambulance. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Madhav, a carpenter by profession, is survived by his father, wife, and three daughters.
