Kalmakaru: Ayyappa devotee injured in wild elephant attack

Kalmakaru: An Ayyappa devotee was injured in a wild elephant attack on December 17 at Kalmakaru taluk of Sullia. The injured person has been identified as Charith.
The victim was initially rushed to hospital for primary treatment as he sustained severe injuries on his back and head. Following this, he was referred to hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
The attack took place early in the morning while the victim was washing clothes at a field.
