A flight from Mangalore International Airport to Abu Dhabi, scheduled for departure on Monday night, was delayed by a staggering 12 hours due to technical problems.
The Air India Express flight was initially set to depart at 8:55 PM on Monday, after arriving in Mangaluru. However, it was delayed upon arrival due to a technical glitch. The airline later announced multiple revised departure times, including 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM, but the flight could not depart as planned. Ultimately, the flight took off at approximately 8:45 AM on Tuesday, heading for Abu Dhabi.
The significant delay caused inconvenience to passengers, with many left stranded at the airport. Some passengers criticized the airline for failing to arrange overnight accommodation during the prolonged wait.
Additionally, the delay of the Abu Dhabi flight had a cascading effect, causing the subsequent Dubai-bound flight scheduled for Tuesday morning to also depart late.
