Bantwal: Tempo traveller overturns on NH; no fatalities were reported

Bantwal: A Tempo Traveller lost control and overturned on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway near Farangipete Junction on Thursday, December 19 morning.

The vehicle belonging to an event company from Bengaluru veered onto the divider and overturned on the highway around 6:30 AM. Approximately 10 passengers were on board, and fortunately, no fatalities were reported. All passengers escaped with minor injuries.

The accident took place when the vehicle was en route to Mangaluru for a wedding event. The owner of the event company was transporting stage decoration materials at the time of the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest the driver may have lost control due to fatigue, causing the vehicle to climb the divider and overturn. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.

The decoration materials spilled across the highway, leading to temporary traffic disruptions.

Panemangalore Traffic Police arrived at the scene to manage the situation and clear the highway. Further investigations are underway.
