Puttur: Driver killed after electric auto rickshaw overturns

An electric auto rickshaw overturned near Tenkila on the Mangaluru-Mysuru National Highway on December 22 morning, resulting in the death of the driver.
The deceased driver, identified as Surya, was reportedly trying to avoid hitting a dog that suddenly appeared in front of the rickshaw. In the process, the vehicle overturned.
Surya sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Puttur Government Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Surya is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
