Bengaluru: Drone Prathap, who was jailed in connection with an explosion at an agricultural pond, has been granted bail.
The Madhugiri 4th Additional Sessions Court granted him bail on Monday, December 23.
Prathap had reportedly used sodium, a highly reactive metal, to create an explosion at an agricultural pond near Janakaloti in Madhugiri taluk to produce content for his YouTube channel. Following this, the Midigeshi police registered a suo motu case and arrested him.
He was presented before the court on December 16, which placed him under judicial custody for 10 days. He was supposed to remain in custody until December 26. However, the Madhugiri Sessions Court has now granted him bail.
The police had also arrested his cameraman Vinay and Prajwal, who had supplied the sodium.
The bail formalities are expected to be completed on Tuesday, December 24, after which Prathap may be released from jail.
