Mangaluru: Mortal remains of Kundapur soldier arrive at MIA

The mortal remains of Lance Havildar Anoop Poojary (31), a soldier from Bijadi, Kundapur, who tragically lost his life in an accident in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, were brought to the Mangaluru International Airport late Wednesday, December 25 night.
Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta who was present at the airport to pay his respects assisted in carrying the coffin as it was brought out of the military aircraft.
Joining him were Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Anand CL, a former soldier himself, and Udupi MP Kota Srinivas Poojari.
The leaders, along with army personnel and other officials, offered their final respects to the departed soldier, honoring his sacrifice for the nation.
