Udupi: Grand conclusion of Bruhat Geetotsava; Actor Upendra among dignitaries present

Udupi: The grand conclusion of the Bruhat Geetotsava was held on December 29 at Rajangana, with the presence of Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji and junior pontiff Sri Sushrindra Tirtha Swamiji of Parayaya Sri Puthige Matha.

As part of the unique celebrations, the Geeta Ratha, modelled after the Parthasarathi Golden Chariot, was pulled around the Rajangana premises during the Geeta Jnana Deepotsava, symbolizing devotion to Lord Krishna.

Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji delivered a benedictory message during the ceremony. Several prominent personalities, including retired High Court Justice Dinesh, Udupi District Sessions Court Judge Kiran S. Gangannavar, Kannada actor Upendra, MLA Yashpal A. Suvarna, and businessmen Manohar Shetty and Purushottam Shetty, were present.

On the occasion, Sri Puthige Swamiji released the 2025 Vishwavasu Nama Samvatsara Panchanga of Sri Puthige Matha. The event also featured vibrant cultural programs, adding to the festivity.
