Woman rescued after foot gets stuck in drain pipe in Puttur

Puttur: A woman’s foot got stuck in a broken drain pipe near the main road in Puttur on Monday,30 December, evening.

The incident occurred on a road beside the flower market, where a damaged pipeline was left unattended despite repeated complaints to authorities. The woman accidentally stepped into the pipe, trapping her foot.

Alert locals quickly intervened, cutting the pipe to free her.

The incident highlights the negligence of civic authorities in addressing the issue.
