Kollur: Mookambika temple Tantri and priest Manjunath Adiga passes away

Kollur: Sri Mookambika Temple’s priest and Tantri, Manjunath Adiga (66), passed away on January 1 due to a cardiac arrest at his residence.
Adiga is survived by his wife, daughter, and son Nityananda Adiga, who is also a priest and a member of the temple management committee. Known for his devout service to the temple, he had been guiding devotees in religious rituals and practices for many years.
Adiga, who also managed the Kollur Tantric Guest House, was well-known for his amiable nature and dedication to serving devotees. Due to health concerns, he had previously entrusted the temple’s priestly responsibilities to his son, Nityananda Adiga.
Condolences Pour In
Several prominent figures expressed their condolences, including MP B.Y. Raghavendra, Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole, Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, former Legislative Council chairman K. Prathapchandra Shetty, former MLAs K. Gopal Poojary and B.M. Sukumar Shetty, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, businessman Vasudev Shetty Kapu, and former Taluk Panchayat member Ramesh Ganiga Kollur.
Temple executive officer Prashant Kumar Shetty, management committee chairman Babushetty, committee members, staff, and fellow priests also mourned his demise, remembering his simplicity and humble nature
