In a shocking incident, a young woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in front of a prominent private hotel on the B.M. Road on Wednesday night.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old Manukumar, is in critical condition and currently receiving treatment at HIMS Hospital.
Manukumar, a resident of A. Guduganahalli, had been in a relationship with Bhavani during their college days. However, tensions had reportedly developed between the couple recently. On Wednesday night, Manukumar went to the hotel with friends to celebrate the New Year. Learning about his whereabouts, Bhavani repeatedly tried to call him, but her calls went unanswered.
Angered by this, Bhavani arrived at the hotel and confronted Manukumar near the entrance. In a fit of rage, she allegedly stabbed him with a knife and fled the scene.
Police have registered a case of attempted murder and have taken Bhavani into custody for questioning. Further investigations are underway to uncover the details of the incident.
