Residents from Kerala near the Talapady tollgate are set to stage a protest on January 8 at 4 PM against the imposition of toll charges on them.
Initially, residents living in a 5-km radius of the toll gate area were exempted from toll fees. However, this exemption was later restricted to Karnataka residents only, and Kerala residents are required to pay the toll, they alleged.
